Summary

St. Michael’s School is one of the UK’s leading independent schools, consistently highly ranked yet remaining inclusive and committed to our mission of success for all students who join us. There are a range of abilities in our school – our focus is on adding value to each young person’s educational journey, challenging them to exceed the grades they ever expected to achieve. Our results are entirely a product of the pupil and teacher commitment to doing everything as best as we possibly can.  Importantly, we always ensure our advice and guidance to parents puts the child’s needs first, so that they have the future that they deserve.  We are a friendly school where pupils join us both in September and throughout the year; pupils quickly take to what we have to offer and make friends among like-minded peers.

We offer an outstanding education, combining the pursuit of academic excellence with all-round personal development, for boys and girls aged 3-18 years. We are a traditional yet innovative school, where a strong culture of excellent pupil behaviour and effort leads to truly extraordinary learning. Above all, we are very ambitious for our pupils; our caring and experienced teachers strive to draw out the very best from every young person, enabling them to become confident, resilient and capable. Our pupils make excellent progress and achieve impressive exam results, benefitting from high-quality teaching in small classes. Nevertheless, we provide a wealth of co-curricular opportunities in sport, culture and the arts. Please do come and visit us in person, to see for yourself what makes a St. Michael’s education so valuable. You can be assured of a warm welcome from pupils and staff alike.
