Catch a show at the local theatre or playhouse, see one of Murray’s homegrown bands rock the house or cheer on the Racers across more than a dozen men and women’s sports. Feeling adventurous? Visit the city parks and shoot some hoops, take a swim or go hiking. Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area is just 20 minutes down the road.
Blue & Gold
Racer Pride extends throughout the university among our passionate students, faculty and staff. You'll find more than 70,000 alumni throughout the world in nearly 90 different countries, always willing to lend a hand to a fellow Racer. We proudly fly the blue and gold, helping us to stand out from the crowd.
We pride ourselves as a university of inclusion and diversity, with Racers representing nearly every state and more than 40 countries. We believe big ideas are shared best in small class sizes, as Murray State offers a 15:1 student to faculty ratio.
